Let's get together, live and in-person!
** Friday, September 30, 2022
** Wedgwood Baptist Church, Fort Worth TX 76133
39 church librarians and staff came from all over Texas to the Fellowship. (about 25 church libraries represented) We had a terrific time!
We renewed acquaintances with folks we've known for years; we met new librarians who have never been to a conference like this.
We were inspired and encouraged by Nancy Urinack's presentation on the importance of church libraries for our churches and communities. She spoke from her heart both with the concern and the hope that she is experiencing. Thank you, Nancy.
After sharing a meal together, we shared ideas on topics and questions that every church librarian has. We all came away with options and solutions. Book lists were handed out. (We have most of them posted here.)
We finished by discussing the future of this kind of meeting. The consensus was: we will meet again, probably next year.
Our thanks to LeVelle Calbot, librarian at Waller Baptist, for taking pictures of the Fellowship. You can see them on this site's Sept 30, 2022 page. The BOOK LISTS are found there also.
No specific plans just yet, but do check by this website occasionally to see what is in the works. (Bookmark or set a Favorite of this page so you can easily get back to it.)
While we are waiting, please participate in your local association's library activities. The Dallas folks are encouraged to attend DACLO, November 12.
Contact us if you have any suggestions or ideas. We welcome your participation.
